Frequently Asked Question

Still have some questions or interested in discussing a collaboration? Contact us and we’ll be in touch shortly.

We customize everything for our clients to match your specific business/institution needs, customers/students, and goals. The typical consulting project follows this path:

  • Client expresses interest in working with Do Good Work Consulting Group on an issue related to one of our primary focus areas {link these words}, using our online query form, email, or by phone (615) 281-9660.
  • Member of our team contacts potential client using information listed on the initial query and schedules consultation meeting.
  • Initial consultation meeting(s) to determine client’s goals, current challenges or problem[s}, and desired outcomes of the consulting project.
  • Following the meeting, a member of our team will develop a proposal that includes a scope of work (SOW), timeline(s), list of any deliverables, pricing, and any other recommendations.
  • Once the SOW is agreed upon, we will finalize any details and execute a mutually-signed agreement. Any planned activities (e.g., campus visits, interviews, analysis) will commence according to timeline in the SOW.
  • Final closeout of the project includes any knowledge transfer, exit interview (where applicable), resolution of balance, and voluntary completion of our performance evaluation.

We offer both. We customize everything for our clients to match your specific business/institution needs, customers/students, and goals.

Depending on the scope of the project, we are able to offer fixed price contracts for most activities that fall within our primary focus areas {link these words}. We have no “hard and fast figures,” so typically we’re able to negotiate terms to offer you a competitive fixed price. This allows clients to enjoy the comfort of a defined budget with no surprises.

Variable costs contracts are more appropriate for short-term projects with many moving parts (e.g., campus climate assessment after triggering event) or long-term projects that involve many off-site partners, data collection/analysis, and diverse reporting formats (e.g., white paper, report, press release).

Yes, we do. These discounts are available to repeat clients who have completed a project with Do Good Work Consulting Group within the last seven (7) years. Do Good Work Consulting Group is a limited liability corporation (LLC), originally launched in 2017. The company’s name come for the “best advice” that the firm’s founder, Dr. Terrell Strayhorn, received from his doctoral advisor and mentor: “No matter what…just do good work, the rest falls into place.” When Strayhorn formed the company, he thought the name aligned with our purpose and vision: We partner with clients to do good work for their consumers/students.
